after watching the show I just do not have any sympathy for someone who does this. Her victim will not have a husband, family or career. Its not right. If her identity is revealed then that's just part of having to deal with the consequences of one's actions. Its not easy for her victims family and it should not be easy for her.

erm, after watching the movie, my heart goes out to bernadette, whilst i appreciate that a young girl lost her life, we know as adults that we wouldnt choose to do things that we would when we were younger....
this girl must have suffered and will take what she did with her for the rest of her life, some other countries victims dont event get the luxury of seeing justice done!!!!

I just saw the episode of Deadly Women that featured this crime. I was satisfied that the story represented the real story. I saw the Lifetime movie years ago and read this blog years ago. I have always believed this was a case of obsession and possible stalking, not a bullying case. This is just like those celebrity obsession stories. The sad part is that the obsession tendency almost never leaves the individual. It either shifts focus to a new target or manifests itself in other ways. I hope that because Bernadette was so young, she received some counseling that helped her. Obsessive murderers tend to be highly intelligent and often successful in their own right. They are usually excellent liars and can function in society quite well. The fact that Bernadette has found notoriety within her career field makes sense. She clearly has the same ambition and perfectionism she had in high school. Let's hope that she eventually used her own talents to find the acceptance and self-esteem she lacked as a teenager.

Why isn't this woman outed..I don't care about her age being a minor she should never be given the gift to start over.
